Gentle, Yet Effective Skin Rejuvenation for Sensitive Skin

At Venus Spa, we specialize in advanced treatments that deliver visible results. The PCA Sensi Peel is one of our most popular solutions, specifically formulated for ethnic and sensitive skin types. This gentle yet powerful chemical peel is designed to rejuvenate, brighten, and calm the skin while addressing hyperpigmentation, acne, and signs of aging—without causing irritation.

The PCA Sensi Peel is a multi-faceted, gentle chemical peel designed primarily for ethnic skin and other extremely sensitive skin types. It works by strengthening and brightening the skin while helping to treat sun damage and various forms of hyperpigmentation. With its combination of exfoliating acids and anti-inflammatory ingredients, this peel is also perfect for treating acne and calming rosacea, reducing redness and inflammation effectively.

This treatment gently exfoliates the outer layer of skin, revealing smoother, brighter, and more even-toned skin. The formula includes a blend of ingredients like lactic acid, salicylic acid, and other active agents that provide:

  •   Exfoliation to improve skin texture
  •   Anti-inflammatory benefits to calm irritation and redness
  •   Brightening action to reduce pigmentation and sun spots
  •   Acne and antibacterial benefits to clear up breakouts and prevent future ones
  •   Hydration to support skin barrier function and softness
  •   Lactic Acid: A mild exfoliant that hydrates and smooths the skin.
  •   Salicylic Acid: Helps to unclog pores and treat acne while soothing inflammation.
  •   Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E): An antioxidant that helps protect and heal the skin.
  •   Phenylethyl Resorcinol: A brightening agent that targets pigmentation and uneven skin tone.
  •   Arbutin: A skin-brightening agent that reduces dark spots and hyperpigmentation.

  • Ethnic Skin Types: Excellent for darker skin tones that are more prone to hyperpigmentation.
  •   Sensitive Skin: Ideal for those with rosacea, redness, or easily irritated skin.
  •   Acne-Prone Skin: Targets clogged pores and acne lesions while reducing inflammation.
  •   Sun-Damaged Skin: Helps to reverse signs of sun damage, like dark spots and uneven texture.
  •   Hyperpigmentation: Effective in lightening dark spots and evening out skin tone.

To prepare for your PCA Sensi Peel, refrain from these activities within 5-7 days prior to your treatment:

  •   Avoid other treatments: No other facials, peels, or exfoliants.
  •   Stop using irritants: Avoid retinoids, retinol, glycolic and salicylic acids, benzoyl peroxide, astringents, and Vitamin C.
  •   No waxing, tweezing, or depilatory creams: These methods can irritate the skin.
  •   Avoid sun exposure: No tanning or sun exposure prior to treatment.
  •   Pregnancy: If pregnant, opt for alternatives like MicroCrystal Microdermabrasion or the Oxygen Peel/Treatment.
  •   No Botox or dermal fillers: Avoid these for 1-2 weeks before your treatment.
  •   Avoid Accutane: Do not receive a chemical peel while on Accutane or similar medications.

Your post-treatment care is essential for optimal results. Here’s what to expect:

  •   Day 1: Your skin may appear slightly red but will begin to calm as the day progresses. You can wait at least 4 hours before washing your face. If makeup is applied, use mineral makeup.
  •   Day 2: Begin your post-peel skincare routine using the provided products. Your skin will feel tight, and peeling will likely begin around your mouth, nose, and eyes. Avoid peeling skin to prevent scarring.
  •   Day 3: Expect more visible peeling, especially on the cheeks and forehead. Use a hydrating cream throughout the day and continue avoiding the sun.
  •   Day 4: Most peeling will occur, but some areas may not peel. Continue to follow your post-peel regimen.
  •   Day 5-7: Your skin may feel sensitive, but the peeling should be mostly complete. Keep using your post-peel system and avoid sun exposure.
  •   Day 8: You may resume tweezing once all peeling has finished. After two weeks, you can resume using products like glycolic acid, Vitamin C, or retinol.

For optimal results, 3-6 sessions spaced about 4-6 weeks apart are recommended. You may notice improvements after just one treatment, but a series of treatments will ensure the best long-term benefits, particularly for hyperpigmentation, acne, or rosacea.

  •   Gentle exfoliation for sensitive skin without irritation
  •   Brightens and evens skin tone
  •   Reduces acne and blemishes
  •   Calms rosacea and decreases inflammation
  •   Improves skin texture and reduces sun damage
  •   No downtime, so you can return to your routine immediately

If you have sensitive skin, ethnic skin, rosacea, or pigmentation concerns, the PCA Sensi Peel is the perfect treatment. It provides safe, effective results without the harsh side effects of traditional chemical peels. If you’re unsure if this treatment is right for you, I’ll guide you during your consultation to create a treatment plan suited to your skin goals.
