To prepare for your microneedling treatment, please follow these instructions:

  •   Discontinue Active Products: Stop using Retin-A, Retinols, Vitamin A creams, and other topical medications for at least 7 days prior to treatment.
  •   Wear Sunscreen: Ensure you wear sunscreen daily and use appropriate home care products.
  •   Avoid Direct Sun Exposure: Stay out of the sun for 2–3 days prior to the procedure to avoid irritation.
  •   Hydrate: Keep your skin well-hydrated before the treatment.
  •   Avoid Waxing or Hair Removal: Do not wax, shave, or use hair removal products 1 week before the procedure.

After your microneedling session, follow these guidelines to maximize results and ensure proper healing:

  •   No Makeup or Sunscreen for 12 Hours: Avoid applying makeup or sunscreen immediately after the treatment. Allow the skin to heal.
  •   Gentle Cleansing: Cleanse the skin a few hours after the treatment using a gentle cleanser from our Venus Spa Post-Procedure Kit.
  •   Use Hydrating Products: Apply serums like our HydraFirm Serum to promote hydration and skin recovery.
  •   Avoid Harsh Products: Avoid exfoliants, alcohol-based toners, and products with Vitamin A or C for 7 days after the treatment.
  •   Physical Sunblock: Use a physical sunscreen (SPF 25 or higher) post-treatment. Mineral makeup can be used 12–72 hours after the treatment.
  •   Return to Regular Skincare: After 48–72 hours, you can resume your normal skincare routine. Incorporate Retinol products for enhanced results.
  •   Avoid Sweat and Bacteria: Avoid sweating, intense workouts, swimming, and tanning beds for 24–48 hours.

To ensure proper healing and the best results, avoid the following for at least 24–72 hours post-treatment:

  •   Active Skincare Products: Avoid AHA, BHA, Retinol, Vitamin A, and Vitamin C (in low pH formulas).
  •   Sun Exposure: Do not expose the treated area to the sun for at least 24 hours.
  •   Strenuous Activities: No exercise or sweating for 24 hours post-treatment.
  •   Swimming: Avoid swimming pools or hot tubs for at least 24 hours to prevent bacterial exposure.

Patients typically notice healthier-looking skin immediately, with further improvements over the next 4–6 weeks as collagen production continues. The full effect of the treatment can take up to 3–6 months.

  •   A series of 3–6 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart is recommended.
  •   Acne Scar Treatments: Combine microneedling with VI Peel (3 treatments) spaced 4–5 weeks apart for better results.
  •   Stretch Marks and Scars: 8–10 treatments are often required for deep scars, spaced 5–6 weeks apart.
